   foliaceous spike.

2. (Min.) Consisting of leaves or thin lamin[ae]; having the
   form of a leaf or plate; as, foliaceous spar.

3. (Zo["o]l.) Leaflike in form or mode of growth; as, a
   foliaceous coral.
