allied genera, having a small body and four pairs of long
legs; -- called also {harvestman}, {carter}, and
{grandfather longlegs}.

insects of the genus {Tipula}, and allied genera, with
slender bodies, and very long, slender legs; the crane
fly; -- called also {father longlegs}.
