\Rh[ae]"tic\, a. [L. Rhaeticus Rhetain.] (Geol.)
Pertining to, or of the same horizon as, certain Mesozoic
strata of the Rhetain Alps. These strata are regarded as
closing the Triassic period. See the Chart of {Geology}.
