\In"grate`ful\, a. [L. ingratus ingrateful (pref. in-
not + gratus beloved, dear, grateful) + -ful: cf. F. ingrat.

1. Ungrateful; thankless; unappreciative. --Milton.

         He proved extremely false and ingrateful to me.

2. Unpleasing to the sense; distasteful; offensive.
