The phage display process works by attaching millions of variations of a given protein or peptide onto the cell surfaces of microorganisms or bacteriophages to make a library (or a display) and then selecting for the ones which are most useful or interesting. The lab techniques are especially useful for the development of pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. |
