    {Ambling}.] [F. ambler to amble, fr. L. ambulare to walk, in
    LL., to amble, perh. fr. amb-, ambi-, and a root meaning to
    go: cf. Gr. ? to go, E. base. Cf. {Ambulate}.]

       horse or to its rider.
